Installation Options
Standard concealed installation is possible for:
- Solid walls, like concrete or masonry. Required drilling depth is 9 cm (3.5″) for supplied fasteners to fit properly.
- Timber frame walls with 40 cm (16″) stud spacing – most common in the US and Canada. The gap between the surface of the wall and studs should be no more than 2 cm (0.8″) for supplied construction wood screws to hold the ladder securely.
Mounting cross bars are needed for timber frame wall with stud spacing other than 40 cm (16″) or when you wish to offset the ladder to the side. Cross bars allow drilling/screwing at any location within their width. Mounting hardware to attach cross bars to the ladder is included but wall screws are not included and should be selected and sourced by the installer.
For all other wall types, like plasterboard walls with metal framing, professional assessment is recommended. Some types of walls may not be suitable for installation or may require construction work.
