Installation Options

Standard concealed installation is suitable for the following wall types:

  • Solid walls, such as concrete or masonry. Required drilling depth is 9 cm (3.5″) to ensure the supplied expansion fasteners fit properly.
  • Timber frame walls with 40 cm (16″) stud spacing, which is standard in the US and Canada. The gap between the surface of the wall (e.g., drywall) and the studs must not exceed 2 cm (0.8″) for the supplied construction wood screws to secure the wall bar effectively.

Mounting crossbars, which allow drilling or screwing at any point along their width, are available when:

  • The wall has stud spacing other than 40 cm (16″), or
  • You wish to offset the wall bar to one side for alignment or clearance reasons.

For other wall types – such as plasterboard walls with metal studs – a professional assessment is strongly recommended. Some walls may not be suitable for installation or may require structural reinforcement or other construction work.

We will contact you to confirm your preferred installation option after we receive your order.
